Murmur · Last updated: 14 June 2026

Murmur ("we", "us") provides a voice and screen-recording feedback tool for Figma, delivered as a Chrome extension and a Figma widget/plugin. This policy explains what we collect, why, and your choices. Questions? Email support@murmurforme.com.

What we collect

We do not collect your browsing history, and the extension only runs on Figma design pages.

How we use it

Service providers we use

What we don't do

Sharing of your recordings

Recordings you create are intended to be shared with the people who have access to the Figma file you place them in. Anyone with access to that file (and the Murmur widget) can play, reply to, and react to your feedback. Please only record content you're comfortable sharing with your collaborators.

Data retention & deletion

We keep your recordings and account data for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the service. You can delete a pin (and its recording) from the Figma canvas at any time. To delete your account and associated data, email support@murmurforme.com and we'll remove it.

Security

Data is stored with our service providers using industry-standard protections, and access is restricted. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, but we take reasonable measures to protect your information.

Murmur runs inside Figma

The Murmur widget runs as an official widget inside Figma's own app — widgets are reviewed and approved by the Figma team. It runs directly from Figma's own servers, inside your Figma file, which means it inherits the security and infrastructure of the Figma platform. Figma's platform meets standards that exceed industry norms for data protection and security, including:

There's no additional software to install to use the Murmur widget — Figma widgets run as a built-in part of Figma's native functionality and can be launched instantly from inside any Figma file, or via the official Figma Community ecosystem. If your organization is already approved to use Figma, you already have access to Figma widgets.

Murmur's companion Chrome extension, used for recording, is published on the official Chrome Web Store (reviewed by Google) and captures recordings within your own browser.

Children

Murmur is not directed to children under 16, and we do not knowingly collect their data.

Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, or delete your personal data. To exercise them, contact support@murmurforme.com.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. We'll revise the "Last updated" date above and, for significant changes, provide additional notice.
